Jordan Brand’s Ready-To-Wear Collection for Maison Château Rouge Has Arrived

Ever-expanding its array of global merchandise, Nike has finally revealed its famed Jordan Brand x Maison Château Rouge ready-to-wear collection for Spring/Summer 2022. Announced earlier this year, the new collaboration includes footwear and apparel items.

Jordan Brand x MCR’s ready-to-wear collection is available now and aims to “unite youth international,” and features jackets, pants and shirts made for all. Additionally, a new pair of Jordan Series Mid and Jordan 2’s, comprising a white and a brown colorway conjoin the clothing collection.

The new sneakers include options in a solid white leather upper with contrasting orange detail at the base of the toe box, along with enlargened orange top-stitching and black and yellow detailing on the tongue. While the brown pair consists of a solid brown leather upper and white rubber outsole, with white-and-orange laces and a scalloped tongue guard overlay.

Discussing the collaboration, Maison Château Rouge founder, Youssouf Fofana, exclusively tells HYPEBEAST: “What made sense with this collaboration was to see what was the link between Michael Jordan and Paris. We came across pictures of MJ’s first visit to Paris where he visits the Eiffel Tower with this famous picture with the ball. This is where it clicked. Sandrine and Chléo [from MCR] then developed prints around this image, which enabled us to produce this magnificent commemorative loincloth.”

“The United Youth International collection represents this desire to affirm the plural identities that we fully accept. We are made up of different profiles, cultures and communities, but with the same aspiration: to elevate each community, diaspora and culture by showing their similarities and not their differences. The purpose of Maison Château Rouge is to give back to the community – whether on the African continent or here,” Fofana adds.

Further information about the MCR x Jordan Brand collab can be found on Nike's website.
