MIDNIGHT STUDIOS’ FW22 “Candy Darling” Collection Encapsulates the ’70s

Ahead of designer Shane Gonzales New York Fashion Week debut later this month, MIDNIGHT STUDIOS is now readying to deliver its Fall/Winter 2022 collection. Dubbed "Candy Darling," the seasonal range encapsulates the '70s with choice inspiration from Warhol's superstars and Andy Warhol's New York City hangout spot for artists, musicians, and celebrities, the Silver Factory.

Leading the collection are creations reflecting the aluminum foil-wrapped Silver Factory, like the denim suit treated with washes and foils, along with the Brooklyn Box Trunk in silver leather. The rock 'n roll focus is continued with the faux fur crossbody bags that display a vinyl record shape and matching lace overlay accented leather set.

Aside from greater tailoring like a three-piece set with a trench, kilt, and trousers made from Italian tweed, basics are marked by new motifs, like the star snap epaulets and Lou Reid imagery decorated cotton jersey tank tops and rib knit crewneck T-shirt with flocked "Candy Darling" graphics. Developing a functional element for the collection is the headphone hoodie, designed to fit over-ear headphones in pockets on either side of the hood.

Priced between $200 and $2,000 USD, the FW22 "Candy Darling" collection will be available September 1, 12 p.m. PST (3 p.m. EDT) on MIDNIGHT STUDIOS' website.
