NOMA t.d. SS23 Delivers a Cross-Cultural “AWAKENING”

Following its collaboration with Stüssy earlier this year, NOMA t.d., also known as Noma Textile Design, readies an expansive Spring/Summer 2023 lookbook titled "AWAKENING." Bringing together styles, forms, and materials inspired by different corners of the world, Noma t.d. builds a bright and pattern-heavy wardrobe that ranges from painted neon green leather jackets to experimental tees consisting of denim and cotton sleeves to semi-translucent polka-dot shirts incorporating fruit basket patterns.

Ornate floral and paisley prints find their way on a range of shirts, jackets, and bottoms, meanwhile, sportswear and workwear elements are scattered throughout cargo pants, dresses, and jersey shirts. Founded by Masako Noguchi and Takuma Sasaki in 2005, the label has built a reputation for its bold exploration of patterns and prints.  Through clever paneling and layering, acid-wash vests, tie-dye sweat suits, paint-splotched bucket hats, vivid pullover cardigans, and more come together as a cohesive assembly.

Under the collection title "Awakening," Noma t.d. releases a series of short films shot in London, Central Park, and Hokkaido that offer some context behind the ideas presented in SS23. Stay tuned for release details.

Elsewhere in fashion, Wasted Youth and Budweiser ready a summer capsule collection.
