Italian label ROLD SKOV has unveiled its Spring/Summer 2023 collection, taking inspiration from an iconic Stone Roses concert. The Manchester band played at Spike Island in Widnes in May 1990, and day-long event has become known as a seminal moment in the crossover between indie and dance music.
ROLD SKOV references this time and the clothes that were on show at Spike Island. The collection's shirting is a particular focus, with stand-out pieces including all-over playful graphics -- incorporating sketches of flowers and butterflies -- as well as sheer checked shirts worn over vests and oversized short sleeve shirts. Elsewhere, the collection reinterprets the '90s influence through its take on knitwear, denim and lightweight jackets.
