After taking home the coveted 2022 International Woolmark Prize and winning the Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design from the Duchess of Cambridge earlier this year, London-based designer Saul Nash has pulled the curtains on his Spring/Summer 2023 collection, with a lookbook celebrating the concept of pairs of siblings.
Across a selection of sartorial imagery featuring blood relatives and chosen family, the decorated visionary showcases a functional range defined by a clear color story and a penchant for athleticism. Notably, Nash employed Sheep Inc, a New Zealand merino wool-knitting company that boasts fully traceable supply lines to regenerative farms, for this season's cuts.
He introduces the collection in the center of a blue stadium, with an array of pieces — including quarter-zip short-sleeves, zip-up jackets, pullover sweaters, track pants and shorts — in variations of the same hue. The following images, captured from a grass field on the side of a small-town road, welcome skin-tight tank tops, sleeveless hoodies, a button-up jersey, windbreakers, and similar track pants and shorts in navy and grey colorways. The final shots pump the collection with an electric orange, which plants itself on a tie-dye style hoodie-and-shorts set, as well as a collared long-sleeve, a performance-ready tank top and more.
