Jonathan “Popz” Lopez and Omar Machado’s Brooklyn-born label, United~Project, has been making headway as a local brand with global aspirations. For Spring/Summer 2022, the team has dedicated the new collection to their hometown, titling the collection “NUEVA YORK.”
Comprised of matching sets, unique hoodies, and caps, the new UP drop champions New York and features the branded logo “NUEVA YORK” in addition to the slogan phrase, “One Team, One Dream” printed across select items. Colorways of brown, olive green, grey and black fill out the collection while roomy silhouettes appear in the form of padded vests and crisp button-down shirts.
In presenting the new collection, Lopez and Machado shared the following sentiment: “The NUEVA YORK collection highlights the diverse spectrum of NYC’s culture. The new New York is a ground of constant evolution. To live here is to be adaptable in every part of your life.”
“With a strong Japanese influence, we bring strict discipline into designing each aspect of life. Cleaner living, mentally, physically and spiritually. United Project is the bridge between all cultures thru spreading love & connecting us as humans!” they added.
