In the evolving landscape of fashion, experimental constructions and altered design techniques are becoming increasingly prevalent. But with this newfound territory, designers hold a great deal of creative freedom when it comes to advancing the silhouette status quo. For Berlin-based brand XIMONLEE, its latest collection for the Spring/Summer 2023 season furthers this agenda with a seductive exploration of innovative dressing.
Unveiled at a cellar during Paris Fashion Week, the new collection continues the brand's cadence of fluid club-inspired ensembles. Even in its fusion of sculptural design details, the collection still harbors a key focus on functionality and wearability. Hand-knitted sweaters, pants with scrunched detailing, jackets, elongated net-like tops and more come to life in leather, cotton, nylon and rubber fabrics. Double layer pants with laminated textures and excess fabric detailing come to life in shades of sea foam and charcoal.
A collection highlight is a rubber all-black sculptural ensemble comprised of free-form pant boots, a short skirt and a spiral high-collar top. Another collection standout is a heavyweight sleeveless fuschia tunic with a scoop neckline and a silver multi-button closure. Through varied fabrications and voluminous shapes, the collection harmonizes elegance and edge.
