Golden Goose Tells the Story of the Ball Star in “Roll With Time” Campaign

Golden Goose has launched a new campaign celebrating its basketball-inspired Ball Star silhouette. The sneaker references the world of '80s college basketball, and has gone on to be adopted by skate culture, with Cory Juneau wearing a one-of-a-kind pair at the 2020 Olympics.

The Ball Star silhouette has now been celebrated with the launch of Golden Goose's "Roll With Time" campaign, which looks at the various eras and subcultures that have inspired the silhouette. Spanning the '80s and early '90s, the short film shows how the sneaker bridges the gap across these generations whilst still looking to the future.

This theme is also referenced in the design of the shoe itself, with nods to the vintage influence through Golden Goose's signature pre-worn aesthetic. Additionally, the lettering on the shoe is influenced by the logos and fonts used in the college and basketball world in previous generations.

The Ball Star sneaker is available now from the Golden Goose web store.
