Following up on collaborations with Travis Scott and Kasina, Nike's classic Air Max 1 continues to take on new looks. The birthplace of the legendary Air-cushioned sole, the Air Max 1 debuted in 1987 and has received countless makeovers since. Now, Nike has opted to put a fresh spin on the silhouette by mixing up the material composition.
Presented in a combination of white and yellow, this colorway is geared for the summer. Key attributes of this pair include tumbled leather in yellow at the mudguard and Swooshes and white tumbled leather overlays resting atop a white mesh base. Hits of yellow also touch down on the tongue and heel while a gray outsole and an off-white midsole featuring the standard Air Unit completes the design.
As of now, Nike has yet to disclose any release information. However, expect these to hit shelves via the Swoosh and select retailers later this year.
In other Nike footwear news, Tom Sachs is providing complimentary pairs of the upcoming NikeCraft General Purpose Shoes to NikeCraft NFT holders.
