It hasn't been that long since Stüssy was seen collaborating with Nike for a trio of Air Force 1 Mids, and this week it's throwing itself back in the spotlight to announce its latest capsule with Converse. For this new initiative, the California-based streetwear brand has reimagined the classic Chuck 70 Hi and One Star models with understated palettes and Summer-ready materials.
West coast DNA is injected into both offerings through the upper fabrics. Instead of using the traditional canvas materials seen on these archival models, Stüssy reworks the base layers with a solid black 100% hemp which provides wearers with more breathability that's convenient for the warmer seasons. Both takes have been stylized with subtle branding in the form of embroidered stars that show up on the lateral walls as well as Stüssy's moniker printed on the interior side of the tongues. Additionally, the medial side logos have been blacked out, and "All-Star" written out on the streetwear stalwart's signature font have been added to the tongue banners.
