Founded back in 2020, Los Angeles/New York label Praying has made a name for itself with its post-Internet aesthetic, drawing from elements of fast fashion, pop-culture, with underlying tones of religion and dogma. For its latest collaboration, the unique evocative label has teamed up with adidas for an upcoming footwear release. Taking to Instagram, Praying shared a first look at its overdesigned take on the adidas Supernova Cushion 7.
The reissued archival runner, constructed with recycled content generated from production waste, has been reimagined with heavy branding details for the collaboration. The uppers of the shoe feature clean white mesh bases accented by Three Stripes overlays and other dynamic panels. While arched Praying logos mark the lateral sides, accompanied by printed eyelet panels. Elevating the shoe are white EVA midsoles marked with additional "Praying" motifs paired with blue rubber outsoles that continue the contrasting tone.
