Tennis quarterly Racquet has collaborated with Zurich-based watch brand Maurice de Mauriac on a pink-dialed limited edition from interior designer Carlton DeWoody.
The 39mm stainless steel Rallymaster: Racquet pairs a dusty pink dial with luminous tennis court detailing and a variety of strap options. DeWoody was seen as the perfect choice for the watch, based on his “passion for tennis and deep knowledge of vintage watches.”
“For this traditional three-hander, I aimed to bridge past and present, reinterpreting classic design with a contemporary lens,” says DeWoody. “I have an affinity for vintage chronographs, often seeking out references with unusual patterns, typefaces and other graphic details. The colourful sub-dials, and patterning of yachting and racing dials was the perfect inspiration for us.”
The watch features an anti-reflective sapphire crystal with date cyclops, small second sub dial with 20-second increments and a Landeron 24 automatic Swiss movement.
Maurice de Mauriac presents the limited edition watch in a box with custom pink tennis ball, a Milanese mesh stainless steel bracelet and two-piece stretch fabric strap.
The Rallymaster: Racquet is limited to 40 pieces and available now via Maurice de Mauriac, priced $1,950 USD.
