Following a collaboration with CDG SHIRT, Sky High Farm Workwear — a Dover Street Market Paris brand established to support the nonprofit Sky High Farm — collaborates with Converse for the first time, delivering a collaborative pair of Chuck 70s. Founded by artist Dan Colen in 2011, Sky High Farm is a 30-acre nonprofit farm based in New York's Hudson Valley committed to regenerative farming practices and a sustainable, equity-focused approach to promoting food sovereignty. All of the produce on the farm is regeneratively grown and donated to communities that need it most. The organization also seeks to promote a just food system through investing in long-term solutions to food insecurity.
The Converse x Sky High Farm Workwear Chuck 70 features black canvas uppers with the brand's signature Strawberry-Moon logo printed on the lateral side and a custom star patch on the medial side framed with the words "Feed Your Neighbor, Love Your Neighbor." Rounding out the design are co-branded sockliners, star-printed laces, and rubber outsoles with star motif license plates.
Complementing the footwear offering, Converse and Sky High Farms Workwear have worked together to produce six short films that chronicle the nonprofit's work to invest in pathways toward food sovereignty over the course of the 2022 harvest season. The series is produced by Jon Bowermaster from Oceans 8 Films and co-directed by Chris Rahm and Devin Pickering with music from Brian DeGraw.
The Sky High Farm Workwear x Converse Chuck 70 will be available at the Sky High Farm Workwear, Converse, and Dover Street Market websites on June 28. The first installment of the six-part series can be found below, and the rest of the episodes will air from June to October.
Elsewhere in footwear, POTR and Suicoke collide for utility Moto Cab sandals.
