Starbucks Japan is celebrating the spooky season with its newest seasonal offering, the Purple Halloween Frappuccino.
The latest menu item is available for a limited time only and is concocted with murasaki imo, a sweet potato that gives the drink its stark purple hue. The blended cream-base drink gives the taste of both sweet potato powder and sweet potato vanilla sauce, allowing the tastes to even each other out.
In addition, Starbucks Japan has also unveiled the Melty Raspberry in Halloween Cake — an innocent-looking cupcake that oozes out blood-like, raspberry-flavored filling in the middle.
The Purple Halloween Frappuccino is available now until October 31, with a tall-sized drink priced at ¥690 JPY (approximately $4.65 USD) while the Melty Raspberry in Halloween Cake is priced at ¥290 JPY (approximately $1.95 USD).
