Jordan Brand's forever iconic Air Jordan 1 silhouette continues to receive attention from the Swoosh with new colorways and ideas. The one that started it all is found in its low-top form this time around with a unique twist to it. This Air Jordan 1 Low colorway carries customizable detailing that allows the wearer to opt for a silver finish at the Swoosh and heel counter or to peel it off and reveal a colored layer beneath it.
Found in a standard leather upper composed of a white base and gray overlays that match the sole unit, the unique attributes of this pair can be hard to spot at first glance. Though with the removeable silver layer that begins at the heel, this pair stands out. With text on the tear-away layer stating "TAKE YOUR CHANCES," "?" and "JORDAN," it indicates there's more to the shoe than what sits on the surface. The official images showcase a pink layer underneath, however, it's possible there will be a random assortment of colors that launch with this pair. Color choices may be hinted at on the laces, these colors include shades of blue and yellow that are found alongside the aforementioned pink.
Release for this new take on the Air Jordan 1 Low is set for sometime later this year via Nike and select retailers.
In other Jordan Brand news, the Air Jordan 6 "Red Oreo" is set to release June 25.
