Jordan Brand has now presented the official images of its Air Jordan 7 SE "Afrobeats" release. Following the unveiling of the "Sapphire" edition back in March, this new colorway is the next in line to celebrate the silhouette's 30th anniversary.
By paying homage to the Afrobeats music genre that includes a combination of West African musical styles, this latest iteration of the sneaker draws its original inspiration from Tinker Hadfield's Air Jordan 7 design.
Dressed in a "Vechetta Tan," "Taxi," "Dark Concord" and black color palette, this new offering comes with layers of earthy tans that sit atop the black upper. When looking closer into the design, dashes of purple can be spotted on the midsole, sitting comfortably next to the geometric graphic and screen-print designs across the rest of the shoe. There's also an Air Jordan 7 first in the design, too: see the puzzling details next to the Nike Air logo on the heel that takes an extra nod towards West African heritage.
You can have a closer look at the Air Jordan 7 "Afrobeats" above and it will be available on the official Nike store and select retailers in the Fall for $210 USD.
