Nothing is set to launch Nothing Ear 2 on 22nd March, later this month. The new earbuds should be an upgrade over the originals that received largely positive impressions from users thanks to their innovative design, surprisingly solid audio quality, and build. In the past, we headed about how the upcoming sequel will have a similar design, which is confirmed all thanks to the leak today. Something we had heard before.
The latest leak spills everything about the Nothing Ear 2, including specs, battery life, and driver size
The latest leak comes from OnLeaks, in association with TheTechOutlook, and gives us the first proper look at the marketing material of the upcoming Nothing Ear 2, and based on these images, the new earbuds look exactly the same. However, there is a silver lining, as these buds are packing better specs than the originals offered.
You can look at the leaked renders below.
While the same design might disappoint most people, I honestly cannot see anything wrong here. The Nothing Ear 1 managed to set itself apart from the market thanks to how different it looked; the same is true with the Nothing Ear 2. Thankfully, the leak suggests that the company has managed to bump up the specs across the board, so even if you are getting similar-looking earbuds, you should get a better overall experience.
So what exactly are you getting with the Nothing Ear 2? Well, the new earbuds are going to offer the same 11.6mm drivers found in the original and will have 6 hours of playback, with up to 36 hours with the case. The buds support USB Type-C charging as well as Qi wireless charging.
The Nothing Ear 2 is slightly lighter than its predecessor with a single bud weighing 4.5 grams compared to 4.7 grams on the older offerings, and this time around, Nothing is offering IP54 dust and water resistance, so if you are looking to take these to the gym, these are an excellent option.
In the past, we did hear that the Nothing Ear 2 could bring personalized ANC, which most of the competitors offer, along with multipoint connectivity, but these are not confirmed yet.
Nothing is said to unveil the upcoming buds on March 22nds. Hopefully, we will get our first look at the much-hyped Nothing Phone 2 during the event. Until then, we will keep you posted if we learn more about these buds and let us know what you think about the upcoming Nothing Ear 2 in the comments below.
