Galeb Bazory is one of the most fascinating characters in Vampire The Masquerade - Swansong. He is the oldest of the three main vampires, and his loyalty to the Camarilla is undeniable. He risks his life many times during the whole story but keeps going and follows his Prince’s orders.
Depending on your choices throughout the game, you can get different endings with Galeb; whether good or bad is up to you. Let’s see how to get the best possible outcome and keep him alive.
**WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD**
How to Kill Stanford
If you want to reach the final scene with Galeb, you must keep the vampire alive and kill Monsignor Stanford. To do that, you need to confront him and win (you can find our guide on VtM - Swansong Confrontations here). This is one of the most challenging Confrontations of the game, and you actually need to have the right Skills and Disciplines leveled up. You need to focus on Persuasion and Psychology mainly.
This Confrontation consists of six stages, and only two misses are allowed. Not a high number, considering that you will get an unpleasant ending if you fail. However, keep in mind that you can also use your Dialogue Powers on all compatible choices to boost your chances of winning. Only one Dialog Power is allowed for each stage, and it will generate Hunger. You need to activate it from the selection wheel first and then select a dialogue option. With that, you can combine your Discipline powers with your dialogue choices.
Here’s what to choose to win each stage:
- This war will go on a long time, and they will lose. You need to have a high level of Persuasion to win this, at least three, and Focus it.
- It doesn’t matter, it is personal. No need to use the Intimidation option.
- Defend yourself. To win this, you need to have at least a Psychology level of three and use the Focus option.
- We’ve already reigned over the world. No Skills required.
- Ignorant slaves have nothing to fear. To pass this, you need to have Psychology at level three or higher and Focus it.
- I am a predator! I hunt! This is the right option to pick here and end the Confrontation.
Galeb will kill Stanford and head back to the Prince’s court if you have done everything right. Instead, if you fail the Confrontation, the vampire will be murdered by Stanford, and there won’t be any other scene with him.
Final Scene: Galeb is Alive
If you manage to kill Stanford, Galeb will be alive during Prince Iverson’s last speech. The vampire will get the chance to choose between staying in Boston and serving the Camarilla or just leaving. Unfortunately, whatever option you select won’t make any significant difference in the game. You won’t get any other interaction or extra cut scenes of what happens after.
